The key highlights from a busy period during w/c 21st July 2019 included the sleepers being diverted via Chat Moss, Bolton, Manchester Piccadilly, Stoke and Hixon. In addition, mail trains were dragged by DB90s for the entire week due to diversions via Manchester as a result of the WCML being partially closed.
In other news, 90016 and 90045 worked in a pair between Crewe and Coatbridge while working 4S88 and 4L81, which were diverted via Manchester. Finally, there were a number of 90s in and out of traffic for all or part of the week, which included 90008, 90020, 90021, 90024 and others.
At the time of writing there were several loco’s out of service. This included 90008, 90020, 90021, 90024, 90026, 90035, 90036, 90037, 90042 and 90048. There was nothing else to report at the time of writing.
