Week Commencing 3rd December 2017:

The key highlights from w/c 3rd December included 90046 and 90049 being involved in an operating incident near Tebay in Cumbria as a result of Storm Caroline. Both 90s were working 4M49 at the time and struck debris on the track, but glad to report both engines are fine.

In other news, 90007 was released from Crewe TMD this week following a planned overhaul and returned to Norwich. The loco entered traffic with GA on the 7/12/17, which involved the rescuing of a hauled set at Orient Way. Finally, there were a number of 90s in and out of traffic this week, which included 90007, 90011, 90021, 90026, 90035, 90041, 90044, 90045 and 90047.
