The key highlights from w/c 24th January 2018 included the re-instatement to traffic of 90041 which operated its first freight train this week following extensive testing and maintenance.
In other news, 90029 and 90034 could be found on hire to VTEC this week, which saw both 90s out in traffic with the TOC on the same days for a couple of days. Also, 90009 and 90013 popped to Bounds Green for tyre turning and 90042/90049 were on hire to GBRF for use on the beds. Finally, there were a number of 90s in and out of traffic for all or part of the week, which included 90002, 90008, 90016, 90020, 90021, 90026, 90028, 90041, 90044 and 90047.
At the time of writing 90002 could be found at Crewe for a planned overhaul after going there on the 14/12/17. Other 90s stopped include 90008, 90020, 90021, 90026, 90028, 90044 and 90049. Nothing else to report.
